Els Charity Cup Check Presentation

Hoakalei Country Club presented checks for $20,000 each to four organizations at the Club’s Ho‘okipa Night in May.

Representatives from Autism Speaks and Beautiful Son Foundation (selected by Ernie Els) and the Boys & Girls Club Hale Pono ‘Ewa Beach Clubhouse and James Campbell High School’s Athletics Department (selected by Haseko) accepted the funds raised by the Els Hoakalei Cup.

The organizations were also recognized at the charity tournament’s awards dinner in April. Dancers from the Hale Pono clubhouse performed hula to welcome sponsors and players to the inaugural event.

Hoakalei Country Club’s partnership with the local beneficiaries includes  providing a venue for the high school’s golf team to sharpen their skills, and both student athletes and Boys & Girls Club members have volunteered for service projects at the Club.

Autism Speaks is the nation’s largest autism advocacy organization, and Beautiful Son Foundation’s vision is to help Hawai‘i families access treatments for children with autism.
