Ilima Students Help Promote Conservation

Ilima Intermediate School held their second annual Go Green Day.  The event helped educate students and the community about conservation, recycling and hopefully inspiring everyone to think more about the environment and sustainable living.

The highlight of the day, the school's first Trashion Show sponsored by Coalition for a Drug Free Hawaii.  Students gathered recyclable items and designed wearable outfits.  The outfits were modeled at a fashion show and evaluated based on the amount of recyclable items used, color, and overall design.

Three outstanding designs were chosen to be recognized.  Haseko helped to judge the outfits and donated a $100 gift card to the second place winner.
