Ka Makana Sweeps Parade of Homes Awards

The resort residences at ka Makana at Hoakalei won 18 awards at the 52nd Annual Building Industry Association of Hawai'i Parade of Homes, including "Grand Champion Award" and "Best in Show - O'ahu" for Ka Makana at Hoakalei, Koa Series Residence 60.40.

"We are honored to have been recognized by our peers in the industry and hope that these awards will pique people's interest and entice them to come and experience Ka Makana at Hoakalei," said Richard Dunn, executive vice president of residential sales and marketing.

The incredible landscaping for Ka Makana was also honored by the BIA.

"The Landscape Architect and Contractor were tasked with the job to design the landscaping in a manner that follows the interior merchandising and family profiles created for each model home," explained Dunn. "We asked that they consider many factors in their overall design effort. These factors included selecting plant material where possible that is indigenous or native to the area, taking into account the dry Leeward climate, water conservation, and xeriscape. We also tasked them with conveying a resort lifestyle that is maintainable by homeowners. On top of this, we challenged them to make selections that were unique. Prospective homeowners often make favorable comments on the beauty of the landscaping. They did an excellent job and are justly deserving of the award. it's another great reason to come experience Ka Makana at Hoakalei and visit with us.

Ka Makana ("the gift" in Hawaiian) is part of the Hoakalei Resort, which is envisioned to become Hawai'is premiere resort destination. It is located right next door to the award-winning Ocean Pointe in 'Ewa Beach.

Just follow Keone'ula Blvd. over the beautiful Ernie Els-designed golf course to the Ka Makana Sales Pavilion. Models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
