Our Lady of Perpetual Help School Celebrates its 40th Anniversary
Our Lady of Perpetual Help School celebrated the school’s 40th anniversary of educating students this past weekend. Bishop Fisher and many the school’s students conducted church services before everyone adjourned to dinner. Lt. Governor Duke Aiona praised the school’s staff for being excellent role models for the children. “Children may not listen to what we say, but they do what we model,” he said. The Lt. Governer and Governor Linda Lingle proclaimed September 21 to be OLPH day in Hawaii.
Among attendance were many community leaders such as Senator Will Espero, Representative Kimberly Pyne and the Ewa Beach Neighborhood Board Chair Rich Hargrave. Guests were treated to Chinese Lion Dances and wonderful performances by the students of OLPH School. Haseko graciously contributed $1,000 to the school for the event.
