Haseko Donates $3,000 to Crimestoppers
Gift Earmarked to Help Stop Illegal Dumping at Oneula Beach Park

Ocean Pointe Developer Haseko (Hawaii) Inc. donated $3,000 to CrimeStoppers in a move to support the organization's ongoing fight against crime and illegal dumping at Oneula Beach Park in Ewa Beach. The park flanks a portion of the makai side of Haseko's Ocean Pointe development.

The donation was presented by Sharene Saito Tam, Haseko's director of ommunity relations and public affairs to Officer Yvonne Miyasato of CrimeStoppers at the January 12 meeting of the Ewa Neighborhood Board.

"In addition to being an eyesore, the growing problem of abandoned vehicles and illegal dumping at Oneula presents environmental, safety, and health hazards for all area residents,” said Saito Tam. “Haseko is a part of this community, so we're working with law enforcement and CrimeStoppers to do what we can to make the neighborhood as safe as possible.”

Haseko's donation will help fund CrimeStopper¹s program to provide a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of anyone responsible for illegal dumping in the park.

CrimeStoppers is a non-profit organization with a network of concerned citizens, City and County, State and Federal law enforcement groups, and the media all dedicated to reducing crime and improving the quality of life in local communities. Callers are issued a code number to protect their identity. To report an incident, citizens may call (808) 955-8300.

Ocean Pointe is located in Ewa Beach on 1,100 acres. When completed, the development is planned to have 4,850 homes in a wide range of prices situated near parks, golf, shops, and restaurants – and ultimately a world-class marina and resort.
