Ernie Els’ Signature Golf Course in Hawaii Taking Shape

Ernie Els’ first signature golf course in Hawaii is right on schedule. Grading of the west nine holes of Hoakalei Country Club is revealing Els’ vision for his championship golf course in Ewa Beach, and work is also getting underway on the east nine.
In between teeing off at professional tournaments around the world, Els has been working on the design details of the course.
Els and the partnership of Haseko and ClubCorp broke ground on the golf course in February. Hoakalei Country Club is expected to open in 2008.
Once complete, it will be the home course for James Campbell High School’s golf team, and the annual Els Cup – a charity golf tournament to benefit the Ewa Beach community.
