Hoakalei Country Club
Designed as part of a premier destination that is planned to provide an unprecedented collection of resort amenities on a single site on Oahu, the Hoakalei Country Club features Hawaii’s first Ernie Els Design 18-hole golf course.
The par-72, 7,400-yard championship golf course spans 248 acres of open vistas of the Ewa coastline. Numerous sets of tees, water features, and strategically placed bunkers complement the tropical terrain, resulting in a breathtaking setting and thoughtful design for both the leisure and competitive player.
The course offers four sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all levels. Grassed with Seadwarf® Seashore Paspalum turf—another first for Oahu—the course features a unique double-split fairway on the 8th hole that forces players to make a strategic decision. The par-3 hole thirteen, with its “island” green, provides another stern test.
Despite any challenges players might experience during their round, they will appreciate the aesthetics of the course, which reflect the spectacular scenic splendor of Oahu and feature beautifully landscaped and manicured conditions.
More than just a golf course, Hoakalei Country Club is a proud member of the Ewa Beach community. Part of its stewardship program calls for hosting the annual Els Hoakalei Cup charitable golf tournament which has benefited Autism Speaks, Beautiful Son Foundation, Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii’s Hale Pono Ewa Beach Clubhouse and James Campbell High School Athletics Department.
Hoakalei Country Club was named the Best Golf Course in the United States and Americas, according to The Americas Property Awards 2010 in association with Bloomberg Television, and among the Best New Private Courses of 2009 by LINKS magazine.
